Our
Story
In 1989, Cecil Day started his own scrap metal recycling business. What began as a small operation grew into Southeastern Recyclers by 2008, now serving areas around Salem, Opelika, Auburn, and beyond. We focus on recycling non-ferrous metals like aluminum cans, copper, and brass, as well as select electronics and automotive components. Our mission is to ensure we do it well and do it right.
Cecil Day passed away in 2022, leaving the company to be operated by his partner and daughter, June Barnes. Today, Southeastern Recyclers, LLC is known for great service and fair prices, whether you’re dropping off a small batch of scrap from
your garage or a large company needing to clear out metal waste. We’ve built our reputation on being reliable, friendly, and straightforward, keeping our community clean and our customers satisfied.
Looking ahead, we’re committed to growing with our community. We’re a family business at heart, deeply rooted in southeast Alabama, and dedicated to the long haul of recycling. We’re here to make recycling easy and rewarding for everyone, proving that taking care of the planet and our neighbors is something we can all get behind.
